On Nov. 17, Detective Michael Miloszar, of the Lambertville Police Department, received the “Police Officer of the Year” Award from the Free and Accepted Masons Amwell Lodge No. 12 at the annual Fellowship and Awards Dinner held at the Washington Crossing Inn.
Detective Miloszar was recognized “for outstanding performance in his first year as the department’s detective-investigator, successfully closing out several burglaries, theft and other serious crimes with the arrests of those responsible.
” In addition, he has worked closely with the Hunterdon County prosecutor’s office Narcotics Task Force on several drug distribution cases that culminated in the arrests of several individuals who were dealing heroin, cocaine, marijuana and illegally obtained pharmaceutical medications in both the Lambertville and Trenton areas.”
Detective Miloszar’s wife, Michelle, two sons Benjamin and Matthew, his parents and other family members, as well as Lambertville Mayor David M. Del Vecchio, Police Director Bruce Cocuzza and Police Administrative Assistant Sally Lelie attended the event.
Mayor Del Vecchio praised Detective Miloszar, calling him “a credit to the department and an outstanding police officer who has served Lambertville taxpayers extremely well.”
Director Cocuzza said: “Detective Miloszar has shown a high degree of dedication, perseverance and service, and truly deserved to be recognized for his contributions to both the city and department. I extend my sincerest thanks to the Amwell Lodge for acknowledging the work of local police, fire and rescue squad services.”
