Performances of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” staged by Northern Burlington County Regional High School will take place 7:30 p.m. Friday; with additional shows at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the high school auditorium at 160 Mansfield Rd. East, Columbus. Tickets are $5 for children, students, and senior citizens, and $8 for adults. The Roebling Museum and the Roebling Garden Club are teaming together to host a holiday event in the historic village of Roebling, from noon to 7 p.m. Candles will line the streets of the model company town of Roebling. For a ticket price of $20, visitors may tour the decorated homes, and the Roebling auditorium between noon and 5 p.m. Children under 12 are not permitted on the house tour. For families not taking the house tour, the museum is open at half-price admission for adults from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Holiday crafts for children will be ready for young children at the festively decorated auditorium from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Santa is slated to arrive at the auditorium at 5 p.m. with goody bags for the children as local choirs sing. Homemade soups, along with hot roast beef sandwiches and ethnic specialties such as cabbage and noodles will be available all day. Homemade cookies and hot chocolate will add to the holiday fare.
Crafts show of Northern Burlington County Regional High School Band Booster Association at Jacobstown firehouse at 86 Chesterfield-Jacobstown Rd., Route 528, will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with refreshments for sale. Christ Church will hold a Fall Gift Auction, doors open at 1:30 p.m. for preview and auction begins at 3 p.m. at the Hope Hose Humane Fire Company at 150 West Burlington St. in Bordentown City. Bordentown Township’s annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. The ceremony will begin outdoors, weather permitting, in front of the municipal building. The Peter Muschal, (Third Grade) Choir will perform three songs and Mayor Karl Feltes will count down and light the tree. The Award Ceremony will be held indoors at the Senior Community Center immediately following. A special visitor will be arriving on a firetruck to hear all of the children’s Christmas wishes immediately following the award ceremony. Light refreshments will follow.

The Women’s Society of the First Baptist Church of Bordentown, sponsoring trip to American Music Theatre Christmas Show in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, then Shady Maple for a smorgasbord dinner. Cost $90 per person, which includes bus, show and dinner; show time 3 p.m. with dinner at 6 p.m. The group will leave First Baptist Church at 12:30 p.m.; return at 10 p.m. Contact Rose Zaiss at 609-291-9261 to make reservations. The Friends of St. Mary’s School will hold a Flea Market from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in St. Mary’s School Hall and Yard, 30 Elizabeth St., Bordentown. Holiday house tour sponsored by the Bordentown Historical Society from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Bordentown City. Bordentown Elks Lodge 2085 has bingo every Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m. There is a progressive jackpot, and food is available for purchase. The lodge has sandwich night every Wednesday from 6 to 8. Price is $6 per person. Lodge 2085 hosts a breakfast the third Sunday of every month from 8 to 11 a.m. All proceeds benefit the Special Children’s Committee.
