Florence Memorial High School’s Class of 2013 will be selling raffle tickets to raise money for a class trip to Florida. The senior class will offer a third generation iPad (16GB) with WiFi.
Tickets are $10 each. The drawing will take place on Friday, Nov. 30.

There is going to be a Spaghetti Dinner at Florence United Methodist Church, Second and Broad streets, on Nov. 30. There will be two seatings — at 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. Take outs will be only at 5:30 p.m.

All proceeds will go to the Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund.
The Roebling Scouts are once again having their wreath, poinsettia and grave blanket sale.

The Traveling Seniors group is having a Pennsylvania Christmas and gift show Sunday, Dec. 2.
Travel to Harrisburg and experience one of the largest holiday shows with more than 500 vendors. Also see a life-size re-creation of an old-time Christmas Village, decorated tress and mantel train displays.
The price is $60 per person. A $20 per person deposit is needed to reserve a space.

Good Neighbors Senior Citizens of Florence will sponsor a trip to Doolan’s Radio City Holiday Tribute in Spring Lake on Dec. 4.
The group will see the matinee and have a full-course luncheon with a one-hour open bar.
The bus will leave the Florence Township Library at 9:45 a.m. and return about 5:30 p.m.
Francis W. Robbins American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 194 in Florence will have its regular unit meeting 7 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Post Home on Broad Street.
All members are invited to attend. Instead of having a Christmas dinner and exchange of gifts, a motion was made to have a pizza party at the meeting and no exchange of gifts. The monetary cost of a gift will be collected and donated to the Food Pantry at Florence United Methodist Church, Second and Broad streets,

St. Nicholas parish will be holding its annual St. Nicholas Dinner on at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9 in the Church Hall. Menu will include homemade chicken soup, ham, stuffed cabbage, pierogi, vegetable, dessert, and beverage.
Cost of a ticket is $7 per adult and $5 per child

The Florence Chapter of Deborah will have a VIP Casino Bus Trip on Dec. 16 leaving the Roebling Library at 11:45 a.m. and returning approximately 8:30 p.m. The cost is $40 and comes with a $30 coin return, refreshments, and a $5 food voucher.
The Christmas party for Deborah will be held at the VFW on Tenth Avenue, in Roebling, at 6 p.m. Dec. 13. The cost is $20 for a hot and cold buffet.

The American Legion 194 will have a New Year’s Eve party from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Dec. 31. There will be a DJ and prizes.
Tickets are $25 per person and $45 per couple, which includes open bar and finger foods and a champagne toast at midnight. Tickets are available at the post and must be purchased by Dec. 7.
The Food Pantry at Florence United Methodist Church at Second and Broad streets in Florence is open Fridays from 11 a.m.
