SOUTH BRUNSWICK: Pizza delivery man robbed at gun point

By Jennifer Larkin, Special Writer

Three black males allegedly held up a pizza deliveryman at gun point in the Dayton section of the township Friday night, police said.

At 9:25 p.m. a pizza was being delivered to a residence in building N on Quincy Circle when the delivery man was told by the resident that they did not order the pizza, police said.

As the delivery man was returning to his vehicle with the pizza he was allegedly approached from behind by three black males described as being in their 20s and wearing “hoodies,” Sgt. James Ryan said.

According to Sgt. Ryan, one of the men produced a hand gun and placed it to the delivery man’s head.

The suspects then quickly made off with the victim’s wallet, money, and pizza, according to Sgt. Ryan.

“We are following up on several important leads,” Sgt Ryan said Saturday. “We believe the suspects may be linked to the area.”

Sgt. Ryan said police conducted “an extensive canvass” of the area and spoke with several witnesses who said the suspects fled from in an older model dark colored mini van located in an adjacent parking lot.

Anyone with information on the incident should contact Detective Ron Seaman 732-329-4000 extension 7486.
