MARY CHRIS ROSPOND ELECTED TO THE CAROLYN DORFMAN DANCE COMPANY BOARD OF TRUSTEES

The Carolyn Dorfman Dance Company (www.cddc.info) has announced the election of Mary Chris Rospond to its board of trustees.
Rospond is the president of Exquisite Entertaining, Inc. in Millburn, a special events and catering firm founded in 1987, whose corporate and non profit clients including the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), Paper Mill Playhouse, the Newark Museum, the Community Food Bank, World Cup Soccer, The Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, Sony Pictures, Prudential Financial, Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus and Tiffany & Company.
Prior to founding Exquisite Entertaining, Inc., she enjoyed a 10-year career in museum arts with the Detroit Institute of Art and the Smithsonian Institution. In 1986 she was appointed director of information services and marketing for The New Jersey State Council On The Arts (NJSCA) where she developed and organized the state’s first cultural tourism conference, in partnership with the New Jersey State Department of Travel and Tourism.
Rospond earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan and was the recipient of a Smithsonian Fellowship. She is also a graduate of The New York Restaurant School with a degree in Culinary and Management, and studied at the Cordon Bleu in Paris. She is a member of the New York City chapter of The American Institute of Wine and Food and an instructor in AIWF’s Spoons Across America culinary program for children in Harlem and Chinatown. She also serves on the board of the Actor’s Equity Theatre Alliance, and served as co-chair of its 2012 Curtain Call Benefit.
Rospond resides in Greenbrook and is married to Marc Podems. Together they enjoy travel, jazz, and contemporary dance and theatre.
