Teens are invited to audition in mid-December for a role in the musical “13,” which will be presented by the Somerset Valley Players from April 12 to May 5.
Needed are seven teenage boys and six teenage girls, all 13-17.
Auditioners should be prepared to sing 32 bars of a pop/rock or contemporary musical theatre song (not a song from the show). Bring sheet music clearly marked and in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided. All actors must realistically be able to portray a 13-year-old.
Auditions will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, and Tuesday, Dec. 18, at the theater at 689 Amwell Road. Callbacks will be Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 6 p.m.
The show tells the story of an inventive 12-year-old New York City boy who moves to the middle of Indiana.
