New Dogs of Lambertville calendar is available

Just in time for holiday giving (and pre-holiday getting), the new Dog Days of Lambertville calendar made its way to town as power was restored to the city.
Hurricane Sandy took us all for a loop, but Dog Days is here now to make us smile.
This year’s version is a brand-new new treat for dog-lovers around the region. Featuring 64 pin-up pooches — 31 of them rescue pups — who were just barking to get to Lambertville, the calendar “promises cute mugs and charming stories for every month of 2013,” said a spokesman.
   — Take a look at Sampson, for instance. He may be recognizable to those who, like him, love to walk about the streets of Lambertville. He’s a real meet and greet pup. And he has a lot of catching up with old friends to do. The little dog with a big name moved back to Lambertville from North Carolina in 2011. He’s made many new friends: Minnie, Scruffy, Charlie, Jazzy, and Spice, to name a few. Are you on his friend list, too?
   — On the other side of the dog scale, Dalmatians Sketch and Bentley know how to strike a pose. But they are active, too. Sketch, the pup, with one blue eye and one brown, adores his big brother, Bentley. He’s new in town, but already has made many doggie friends. It’s hard not to in the dog-loving town. Sketch loves the river and swims like a fish.. He’s learning the art of stick retrieval and hopes to become an AKC champ.
   — Role model Bentley loves marrow bones, his little brother, and the three kitties at home who are his curl-up buddies. But he earned his nickname Brad Pitt for another reason. Bentley is a ladies pooch. He’s sweet to all his doggie girlfriends and he’s oh so easy on the eye.
