POLICE BLOTTER

   Lt. Stephen J. Bartzak, commanding officer, West Amwell Township Police Department, reported:
   — On Dec. 1 at 4:40 p.m., police responded to a car/deer accident on Route 179 near Gulick Road. Betty Guth-Snyder, of North Plainfield, was driving north when her vehicle struck the deer. No injuries were reported The vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage and was towed from the scene. Patrolman Joseph Cesare took the report.
   — On Nov. 16 at 7:37 p.m., police went to a car/deer accident on Route 202 near mile post 3. Karen Crounse, of Altamont, New York, was driving south when a deer ran into the passenger side of the vehicle. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was driven from the scene after a report was taken by Patrolman Cesare.
   — On Nov. 16 at 8:49 p.m., police went to a car/deer accident on Route 179 near Kari Drive. Cartina Goldsmith, of Ringoes, was driving south when a deer ran directly into the driver’s side of the vehicle. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was driven from the scene after a report was taken by Patrolman Cesare.
   Lambertville City police reported:
   — Mercade Frost, 34, of Flourtown, Pennsylvania, is facing charges after allegedly being involved in an assault and driving away from the scene while intoxicated on Nov. 27.
   At approximately 12:20 a.m., police were called to the area of Route 518 and Lincoln Avenue, to check out a report of an assault in progress in the roadway. When officers arrived, the suspect had already fled the scene, leaving the victim with minor injuries.
   While investigating, the suspect, later identified as Mr. Frost, drove past the scene again and was stopped a short distance away. He was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol and subsequently arrested for the assault and DUI. He also was found to have two active warrants for failure to appear on unrelated assault and traffic charges.
   Mr. Frost was charged with simple assault, DUI, refusal to submit to breath testing, careless driving, failure to keep right and failure to exhibit a license. He was later turned over to the Trenton Police Department in default of bail. Sgt. Robert Brown and Officer Anthony Memolo were the arresting officers.
   — Ivan Logarta, 32, of Hightstown, was arrested for DUI on Nov. 30. Officer Michael Gramlich stopped Mr. Logarta at 2:08 a.m. for speeding on Bridge Street. He was determined to be under the influence of alcohol and was charged with DUI, reckless driving and speeding. He was later released with a pending court date.
   — Eric Sellitto, 34, of Milford, was arrested for DUI on Dec. 1 Officer Gramlich stopped Mr. Sellitto on Route 29 at 2:10 a.m., after he was allegedly seen driving erratically. Mr. Sellitto was determined to be under the influence of alcohol and was charged with DUI, refusal to submit to breath testing, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane and failure to keep right. He was released with a pending court date.
   — Linda Lehman, 51, of Lambertville, was arrested for DUI on Dec. 2. Sgt. Brown stopped Ms. Lehman on North Union Street at 12:48 a.m. after she was reportedly seen driving erratically. She was determined to be under the influence of alcohol and was charged with DUI, refusal to submit to breath testing, careless driving and failure to keep right. Ms. Lehman was released with a pending court date.
   — There were three reported motor vehicle accidents in various parts of the city, during the morning of Nov. 27, due to snow and ice conditions, including one that involved a vehicle that had rolled over on Route. 518 after striking a telephone pole and guardrail. Only minor injuries were reported with that crash and the roadways were cleared shortly after.
    Suspects are considered innocent unless proven guilty by a court of law.
   New Hope police Chief Mike Cummings reported:
   — On Oct. 16 at 2:38 a.m., police cited Jennifer Bock, 29, of New Hope, for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness, after she created a disturbance in the area of Bridge and Main streets.
   — On Oct. 19 at 2:09 a.m., police arrested Timothy Kroll, 41, of New York, New York, for driving under the influence of alcohol, after he was seen operating his vehicle in an unlawful manner in the area of West Bridge Street and Sugan Road.
   — On Oct. 25 at 4:51 p.m., a Rosemont, New Jersey, man reported to police that, on the previous day, someone had removed a Nikon digital camera, valued at $188, from the front seat of his unsecured vehicle, while the vehicle was parked in a West Bridge Street lot.
