HILLSBOROUGH: Tonight’s tree-lighting ceremony postponed

Due to the cold rain, tonight’s (Friday’s) ceremony to switch on the lights on the township’s Christmas tree has been postponed. It will now be held next Friday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m.
Santa arrives to greet Hillsborough Township young and old, followed by visits with him at the North Pole house on the property.
The evening will begin at 6:30 with carols performed by members of the Hillsborough High School Chorale. Fires in barrels will invite marshmallow roasting, and there will be hot chocolate and cookies to snack on.
Norz Hill Farms will bring live animals with which to mingle. Local organization will decorate smaller Christmas trees that will ultimately replanted in township parks.
