Police blotter items from Allentown and Robbinsville

Allentown

   Alexander Izquierdo, 29, of South Hampton, was charged with driving while suspended at 10:30 a.m., Nov. 19 after being stopped for speeding, police said.
   Patrolman Nicholas Dell’Acqua discovered during the motor vehicle stop that Mr. Izquierdo also had an active warrant for his arrest out of Hamilton for failure to appear in court. Mr. Izquierdo was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released after paying the full warrant amount of $500.

Robbinsville

   Thomas Pihokken, 58, of Robbinsville, was charged with driving while intoxicated and other offenses at 2:40 a.m., Dec. 9, police said.
   Patrolman Adrian Markowski pulled the vehicle over for disregarding a light at Route 33 and Washington Boulevard, police said. During the traffic stop, the officer detected evidence of intoxication and asked Mr. Pihokken to perform field sobriety tests, which he failed, police said.
   Mr. Pihokken was additionally charged with careless driving, reckless driving, failure to observe a traffic signal and being an unlicensed driver, police said. He was processed and released with a pending court date.


   Someone broke into a house on Robbinsville-Allentown Road on Dec. 5, but the homeowner reported that nothing was missing.
   Officers responded to a burglar alarm at 6:42 p.m. and saw the rear door open at the back of the residence and a second interior door that had been pried open. The officers searched inside the house, where they saw several drawers and cabinets open, but did not find any suspects.
   No arrests have been made and the investigation is continuing.


   Someone stole a wallet, camera, $80 in cash, and various other items from a vehicle parked at Work Out World on Route 130 at 1:29 p.m., Dec. 4.
   There was no sign of forced entry to the vehicle.


   Daniel Levy, 23, and Kody Soares, 22, both of Freehold, were arrested on heroin possession charges after a traffic vehicle stop at noon on Dec. 4, police said.
   Patrolman Scott Kivet saw their vehicle tailgating and making unsafe lane changes while traveling east on Interstate 195, police. The officer pulled the vehicle over near Route 539 and during the traffic stop detected evidence that narcotics was present. A subsequent search uncovered a “large quantity” of heroin, police said.
   Mr. Levy and Mr. Soares were each charged with possession of heroin and possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, police said. Mr. Levy, the driver, was additionally charged with having a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, tailgating and making an unsafe lane change police said.
   Both men were processed and released with a pending court date.


   Keith Stout, 24, of Hamilton was charged with DWI at 2:16 a.m., Dec. 1, police said.
   Patrolman Thomas Egan conducted a random license plate inquiry on a vehicle traveling on Washington Boulevard that came back as having expired registration. The officer pulled the vehicle over near Route 33 and during the traffic stop detected evidence the driver was intoxicated, police said.
   Mr. Stout failed field sobriety tests, police said. He was then arrested, charged and released with a pending court date.


   Sean Boehm, 34, and Jeffrey Freda, 34, both of East Windsor, were charged with heroin possession and other offenses after a traffic stop at 11:42 p.m., Nov. 28, police said.
   Patrolman Scott Kivet saw a vehicle make an unsafe lane change on Interstate 195 and pulled it over near Exit 7, police said. During the stop, the officer detected evidence the driver, Mr. Boehm, was intoxicated and narcotics may be in the vehicle, police said. Mr. Boehm failed field sobriety tests and a subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered a small quantity of heroin and hypodermic needles, police said.
   Both men were charged with possession of heroin and possession of a hypodermic needle, police said.
   Mr. Freda was additionally charged with providing false information to the arresting officer, hindering apprehension and obstruction of the administration of law. He was released on $5,000 bail with a pending court date.
   Mr. Boehm was additionally charged with DWI, having a controlled dangerous substance in a vehicle, reckless driving, careless driving and failure to use a turn signal. He was processed and released with a pending court date.
