Help for Nonprofits! January 28th Conference in Princeton Offers Workshops for Non-Profit Staff, Boards and Volunteers

By Diane Blaszka
Princeton NJ — December 13, 2012 — Today’s non-profit organizations are facing many serious challenges, and Princeton Community Works is once again seeking to help navigate them. On Monday, January 28th, from 5:00-9:15 pm, the group will host its 15th annual conference for the nonprofit community at Princeton University’s Frist Campus Center.
Designed to enable non-profit boards, staff and volunteers to work together more effectively by networking, fundraising, developing skills and raising community awareness, the conference is attended by representatives of more than 200 area nonprofits each year. This year’s event will feature a special keynote address and 21 workshops including:
·       How to Raise Money in the Current Economic Environment
·       Technologies to Benefit Your Non-Profit
·       Budget Basics
·       Elements of Strong Financial Oversight
·       The Keys to Team Building
·       A Grantwriter’s Toolbox: Tips and Tricks
·       Strategies for Conflict Resolution
·       and The Nuts and Bolts of Strategic Planning.
For $35, participants may attend their choice of two workshops and receive a boxed supper. Since space is limited and workshops are filled on a first come, first served basis, early registration is recommended.
Further information and registration information can be found online at www.PrincetonCommunityWorks.org. A conference brochure is also printable from the website.
