   The Board of Education has invited the senior community to attend the special following events. All senior who preregister with the Senior Center will be admitted free of charge to the following events. On Dec. 5 and 6, South Brunswick Seniors are invited to attend the Crossroads Winter Concert at 7:30 p.m. at South Brunswick High School featuring the Concert Bands and Orchestras. On Dec.18 and 19 at 7:30 p.m. The Crossroads Middle School Winter Concerts featuring the Jazz Bands and Choirs will be held in the Crossroads South Auditorium at 639 Georges Road. All free to any senior who pre-registers with the Senior Center Office. Call X7670 or signup in person Seniors must provide their own transportation. Tues., Dec. 18
   We invite all South Brunswick seniors 55+ to our monthly birthday luncheon at 11a.m.. If your birthday is in the month of December call the office by Dec. 11 to sign up. A special menu will be served followed by birthday cake. This event is open to senior residents 55+. Call 732-329-4000 X7670 to register.
Wed., Dec. 19
   A lecture with Twin Boro Physical Therapy on foot and ankle problems and solutions will be held at 10:45 a.m. at the Senior Center, in the Municipal Complex, Route 522. Call 732-329-4000 X7670. Learn about common causes of foot and ankle pain. This lecture is free and open to South Brunswick residents 55+ only.

Fri., Dec. 21
   Karaoke dance: 8:30 p.m., American Legion Post 401, 148 Major Road, South Brunswick; free and open to public; for information, call 732-329-9861.
   The South Brunswick Senior Center at 12:30 p.m. will host a lecture featuring Chaim Soutine. An expressionist painter constantly dissatisfied with his talent, he portrayed his own violent emotions in his work using vivid colors and distorted images. Watch the art video with the expert interpretation and lecture Maurice Mahler a historian, lecturer and artist.    Senior Movie Day – “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” starring Judi Dench. at 12:30 p.m. at the South Brunswick Senior Center, in the Municipal Complex, Route 522, will show the movie. Open to South Brunswick residents 55+ only. For more information call 732-329-4000 X7670.
Thurs., Dec. 27
   The South Brunswick Senior Center at 11:30 a.m. will host a New Year’s Celebration. There will be live entertainment by Billy Phillips, sponsored by The Plainsboro Rotary Club. Must sign up by Dec. 22. Lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. vegetarian meal is available. Lunch is a separate cost of $2.25. This event is for South Brunswick residents 55+ only. Call 732-329-4000 X7670.

   Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying: Beyond the Labels. A discussion of prevention and response strategies to safeguard children from bullying, helping them to become part of the solution, not a bully or target. This is a free South Brunswick Parent Academy workshop held at Crossroads North Middle School from 7-8:30 p.m. for parents and caregivers.
