Take away the “acting” from Township Clerk Pamela Borek’s title.
The Township Committee appointed her to a three-year term as the permanent clerk Tuesday night, at a salary of $60,000 per year.
In August 2011 she was appointed deputy clerk, and she was named acting clerk Sept. 1 when Administrator and Acting Clerk Michael Merdinger retired at the end of August. She performed duties “in an exemplary manner,” said a resolution.
As clerk, she maintains township minutes, contracts ýPage=003 Column=002 OK,0000.00þ
and records, acts as secretary for the Township Committee, and is the official voting registrar and administrative officer for elections, among other duties.
Ms. Borek has completed the coursework to attain the registered municipal clerk certification, which she received Oct. 18.
