MANVILLE: Police blotter, week of Dec. 3-9

    A male teacher in the gym area of the high school broke his foot Dec. 3.The rescue squad took him to Somerset Medical Center at 1:16 p.m.

    A woman from Citronelle, Alabama, came to headquarters at 5:42 p.m. Dec. 3 to put on the record that she had lost her wallet in Walmart on North Main Street. In the wallet were credit cards from two big-box home improvement chains, an Alabama driver’s license, a pistol permit and $150 in cash.

    A caller said a driver’s side front headlight was damaged while in Christ the King Church on North 2nd Avenue between 6:50 and 8:10 p.m. Dec. 4.

    A Flemington man came to headquarters at 11:21 a.m. Dec. 5 to report medication was taken out of his unlocked 2007 Ford while it was parked on North Main Street. The man told police that about 30 20-milligram Adderall were gone. Value of the theft is about $80, police said.

    A Boesel Avenue resident told police at 12:37 p.m. Dec. 5 that his vehicle has had chewing tobacco spit on it several times in the past few weeks. Police confirmed his account.

    The Lukoil gas station on North Main Street said someone used four counterfeit $5 bills at 1:57 p.m. Dec. 7.

    Police were called at 1:57 p.m. Dec. 7 because two people claimed to own the same 1997 Jeep. One is a woman from Tunkhannok, Pennsylvania, the other is Thomas Shon of Roosevelt Avenue. Police said the vehicle is legally regýPage=010 Column=001 Loose,0119.04þ
istered in both states and told the parties they would have to settle the matter in civil court.

    A caller said a car hit her white BMW at the North 13th Avenue crossing and left the scene at 8:07 p.m. Dec. 7.

    A 29-year-old homeless man sleeping in the back seat of a white Pontiac was arrested at 3:43 p.m. Dec. 8 and taken to Somerset County Jail on numerous warrants, police said.

    A caller at 8 p.m. Dec. 9 said an unknown vehicle hit the fence in front of his May Place residence and left. Damaged was 24 feet of 3-foot-high white vinyl fencing with an estimated repair cost of $750. No description of the car was provided by the caller.
