Gift delivery: Accompanied by the Camplain Road Volunteer Fire Company, Santa Claus will deliver gifts to destinations as a fund-raising event Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Santa will go to pre-determined homes on his sleigh and fire truck to deliver a holiday gift (which has been provided). Deadline to sign up has passed. Deliveries are 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, noon to 4 p.m. as well as 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Local government reorganizes: Two new Borough Councilmen will be sworn in and volunteers and paid officials appointed to posts for 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Municipal Courtroom.
Tues., Jan. 8
Ethics training: The Manville Board of Education will meet with board attorney David Rubin in closed session at 5:30 p.m. in the Alexander Batcho Media Center.
Sat., Jan. 19
Tricky tray rescheduled: Manville-Hillsborough BPOE 2119, 1500 Brooks Blvd. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Raffle begins at 7:30. $10 (includes one free sheet of tickets). No one under 18 admitted. Bring five non-perishable food items for the local food pantry and get a free grand prize raffle (limit of 10 items). For tickets call 908-725-1717 or 908-575-9610. Limited tickets will be sold at door.
Jan. 22 and 23
Kindergarten registration: Signups for next fall will be held at the Weston School on Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 22 and 23. Contact the school at 908-231-8500, ext. 8548, to receive a kindergarten packet, which will be mailed home for completion prior to registration. The packet will offer specific information concerning the kindergarten program for the 2013-14 school year. All children attending kindergarten must be five years old on or before Oct. 1, 2013. No exceptions will be made.

Longer hours at Borough Hall: Offices will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. On the Fridays following these Mondays, Borough Hall will close at 2 p.m.
