EAST WINDSOR —On Dec. 14 officers responded to an afternoon report of a motor vehicle accident with an overturned vehicle at the intersection of Dutch Neck Road and Brooktree Road, police said.
Upon patrol arrival two vehicles were found to have been involved in a collision. Both drivers sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to area medical facilities for evaluation, police said.
Police determined that at 3:41 p.m. a 2004 blue Ford, driven by Maura Hillman, 44, of Princeton Junction, had been traveling west on Dutch Neck Road in the area of Brooktree Road.
Police said as Ms. Hillman passed though the intersection, a 2005 green Toyota, driven by a Bordentown juvenile, traveled east on Dutch Neck Road when the 17-year-old attempted a left turn onto Wiltshire Drive — striking the Ford.
Subsequent to this collision, the teen struck a curb and overturned, rolling across a grassy area striking two separate telephone poles, according to police.
Police said JCP&L was notified and responded to the scene to begin repairs on the utility poles.
The juvenile female was issued a summons for making an improper left turn.
East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 1, East Windsor Volunteer Rescue Squad District No. 1, Cranbury EMS and Capital Health Systems Paramedics responded to the accident, according to police.
It was also reported to the Herald that Hightstown firefighters responded as well.
Police said the accident remained under investigation by the East Windsor Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit.
