HILLSBOROUGH: Six burglary incidents reported in two weeks

    Hillsborough police reported six incidents of burglary between Nov. 26 and Dec. 9. In some cases, there were thefts, police said.
    Authorities said $12,400 worth of appliances was reported stolen Nov. 26 from a home under construction on Wraight Court. The theft had occurred sometime in the previous two days, police said.
    The same day, a Long Hill Road resident reported a burglary in the daytime hours. It is still being determined if anything was stolen, police said.
    On Nov. 29 a VanFleet Court resident reported a daytime burglary with the theft of $2,870 worth of jewelry and cash.
    On Dec. 2 a Sunnymead Road resident reported an attempted burglary that happened between Nov. 28 and 29.
    A burglary attempt, with $460 worth of damage to the home, was reported Dec. 7 at a home under construction on Wetherell Road.
    On Dec. 9 a Zion Road resident reported a burglary that had happened in the previous two days. No items were stolen, police said.
    In all cases, township detectives are investigating.

    Police reported four incidents of charges for alleged driving while under the influence. They were:
    • John Palazzo, 23, of Hillsborough on Amwell Road on Nov. 10. He registered a breath test result of 0.18 percent blood-alcohol, police said. He was released after also being charged with failing to keep right.
    • Shirley Colon, 25, of Somerville on Route 206 on Nov. 25. She was released after also being charged with failing to keep right, careless driving, failing to stay in one lane and refusing to submit to a breath test.
    • Gary Kline, 24, of Somerville on Route 206 on Dec. 15. He registered a breath test result of 0.21 percent blood alcohol, police said. He was released after also being charged with failing to keep right.
    • On Dec. 16 Stephanie McGibbon, 34, of Hillsborough was arrested on Route 206. Her breath test reading was 0.16 percent blood alcohol, police said. She was released after also being charged with failing to maintain a lane and failing to produce a registration.
