The township’s land use board will reorganize in the next week, too.
Planning Board ‘s next meeting is Thursday, Jan. 10. The choosing of leaders and appointment of professionals will take place in the reorganization part, which begins at 7 p.m., with the regular meeting at 7:30.
On the agenda in the public hearing on the subdivision and site plan application of GSA Belle Mead site on Mountain View Road. The applicant seeks preliminary and final major site plan approval for proposed interim remediation activities, including a 6-inch stone cap of the burn pit area to address potential direct contact with the contaminated area, as well as address potential migration concerns prior to preparation of a final remedial work plan.
Also asked for in the plan are six clean stone check dams in three drainage features accepting runoff from the burn pit area prior to discharging directly into Royce Brook. Also proposed is a 16-foot-wide temporary dirt and clean crushed stone access road from Mountain View Road.
The Board of Adjustment will hold its similar reorganization at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9. The board will have a new chairman; last year’s chair, Leon Krals, resigned because he has moved out of the township.
In the regular meeting that follows, Chabad Jewish Center of Greater Hillsborough, Inc. should resume testimony on its plan to convert a rear residence on New Amwell Road to a meeting center and religious school.
