A Brooks Boulevard caller at 12:19 p.m. Dec. 18 said she found a bicycle on her property. The boy’s red-and-white 24-inch, 21-speed Dynacraft Excitor was logged into evidence.
• Patrolman Nickolas Franzoso issued a jaywalking summons to a Fort Lauderdale man at 11:47 a.m. Dec. 19.
• Lt. John Crater arrested Julio Heisler, 24, of Toms River at 3:25 p.m. Dec. 19 and charged him with third-degree burglary and theft in an alleged incident at the Best Little Market in the overnight hours of July 5-6. About $10,000 cash was taken, police said. Mr. Heisler was released after posting $10,000 bail.
• An employee of Quick Chek on Brooks Boulevard reported the shoplifting of several items worth about $20 by a woman who left in a vehicle at 5:18 p.m. Dec. 19.
• While checking Papawick Park, Patrolman Joseph Buda arrested Nicholas Galaini, 18, of Hillsborough and charged him with possession of a controlled dangerous substance at 11:49 p.m. Dec. 19. He was released.
• A Brooks Boulevard man came to headquarters at 3:09 p.m. Dec. 20 to report he was receiving emails from a man who said he owes him money.
• About 50 yards of the fence around Ten Pin Lanes was blown over and was leaning on a 2004 silver Saturn, owned by Bridgeway House, at 7:23 a.m. Dec. 21, police said. Patrols reported no visible damage. The property owner was notified.
• A West Camplain Road man called at 9:07 a.m. Dec. 21 to report for the record that sometime overnight a metal shed was blown into his back yard from an unknown neighbor’s yard.
• Numerous callers reported a fire along the Raritan River on the Manville side at 2:37 p.m. Dec. 21. Patrols, fire and rescue were dispatched. Patrol reported downed wires but was unable to reach it because of flood waters. PSE&G was notified and said it would respond.
• County communications reported a possible break-in in progress on South 20th Avenue at 10:16 a.m. Dec. 22. Patrol searched the residence and found nothing amiss.
• William Fahey, 54, of Manville was arrested and charged with shoplifting at a North Main Street business at 11:34 a.m. Dec. 22. He was released.
• A caller reported at 5:17 p.m. Dec. 22 that the American flag displayed at the gazebo lot in municipal complex on North Main Street was damaged by high winds. The public works department was notified and will replace after holidays.
• A stuck vehicle was pulled off railroad tracks at the North 13th Avenue crossing just before 6 p.m. Dec. 22. Norfolk Southern was notified of the incident.
• A Huff Avenue resident said her vehicle was covered within the last hour with toilet paper and eggs at 2:21 a.m. Dec. 23. Patrols saw no permanent damage and found no one in the area.
• A caller said they were in a hit-and-run with a Coach USA bus with an Illinois license at South Main and West Camplain Road at 1:40 p.m. Dec. 23. Police are investigating.
