BORDENTOWN: Children receive gifts

   On Sunday, Dec. 16, the Bordentown Elks Youth Activities Committee hosted a Christmas Party for more than 100 local children and their families.
   Food, refreshments, and gifts were provided along with face painting, and balloon creations. All children and families visited and had pictures taken with Santa Claus. .
   Dec. 9, the Bordentown Elks Special Children’s Committee also hosted a Christmas Party for local children with Special Needs and their families,” said Charles Betros, public relations chairman for the Bordentown Elks.
   ”It was incredible to see the smiles on these children’s faces when they enjoyed the food, refreshments, and gifts along with face painting, and balloon creations,” Mr. Betros said.
   All children and families visited and had pictures taken with Santa Claus.
   ”We are proud that our lodge (Bordentown Elks) stepped up and sponsored a drive to collect supplies for the Hurricane Sandy Relief. We collected and estimated $10,000 of supplies, and thanks to the help of the Hightstown Elks lodge, all were delivered to the Toms River Relief effort,” Mr. Betros noted.
