MONROE — A two-car collision at the intersection of Schoolhouse and Nathaniel roads Dec. 27 sent two unidentified 18-year-old women to the hospital, according to police.
Police said the accident took place at 12:18 p.m. Dec. 27 when Kotoe K. Noa, 29, of Monroe was traveling east on Schoolhouse Road approaching the Nathaniel Road intersection in a 2008 Mazda CX9.
The Mazda then struck the driver’s side of a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by an unidentified 18-year-old township female traveling north on Nathaniel Road.
According to police, the Cavalier was making a left turn onto Schoolhouse Road and failed to yield to the Mazda, causing the crash.
Both the driver of the Cavalier and an unidentified 18-year-old female passenger, also from Monroe, suffered neck and back injuries in the collision and were transported to CentraState Medical Center in Freehold by the Monroe First Aid Squad.
The Monroe Township Fire Department aided in opening the driver’s door of the Cavalier, according to police.
The driver of the Cavalier also suffered facial injuries, police said.
No further information about the unidentified victims or their conditions was available by press time.
