Bridge classes at JCC in Jan. and Feb.

“Improve Your Bridge” with Gil Hollander will be offered on Thursdays, Jan. 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31 and Feb. 7, 9:30- 11:30 a.m. at the Jewish Community Center of Middlesex County, 1775 Oak Tree Road, Edison. This course is designed for those who learned the basics and are interested in improving their knowledge of the game. A minimum number of participants is required.

Gil Hollander will also offer “Bridge: Supervised” on Mondays, Jan. 7, 14, 21, and 28, and Feb. 4 and 11, 1-3 p.m. at the JCC. Designed for the advanced beginner and intermediate players, hands will be prepared in advance, then played and discussed.

Declarer play, defense and bidding (including some conventions) will be included.

Each of these sessions, “Improve Your Bridge” and “Bridge: Supervised,” are $60 or $48 for Community Campus members. Advanced registration is required by contacting Sue Horwitz at 732- 494-3232, ext. 603.

“Duplicate Bridge” is held every Wednesday 1-4 p.m. Directed by Al Steinberger, all are welcome to come alone or with a partner. The fee is $8 or $6 for Community Campus members. Coffee and cookies are provided. No advance registration is required.
