LAWRENCE: Council makes many appointments

   In one of its first official acts of 2013, Township Council made a raft of appointments to fill openings on 14 of the 20 advisory boards and committees — including the planning and zoning boards — Tuesday night.
   Township Council agreed to reappoint Ian Dember to a four-year term ending in 2016, and to reappoint Glenn Collins to a two-year term ending in 2014 on the Planning Board.
   At the Zoning Board of Adjustment, Peter Kremer and Stephen Brame were reappointed to four-year terms ending in 2016, and Frank Scangarella was reappointed to a two-year term as an alternate member, ending in 2014.
   Ronald Comer was reappointed to a four-year term on the Cable Telecommunications Advisory Committee, ending in 2016.
   Township Council reappointed Richard Hocking as the plumber representative on the Construction Board of Appeals for a four-year term that ends in 2016.
   At the newly reconstituted Environmental Resources and Sustainability Green Advisory Committee, Teresita Bastides-Heron was named to a one-year term that ends in 2013, and James Ciccone, Barry Chalofsky, and Pam Mount were appointed to three-year terms that end in 2015.
   Pat Colavita Jr. was reappointed to a five-year term on the Ewing Lawrence Sewerage Authority, ending in 2018.
   Township Council reappointed Leo Brummel and Liang Schweizer to three-year terms on the Health Advisory Committee, ending in 2015.
   Douglas Sargent and Michael Lavanga were reappointed to serve four-year terms on the Historic Preservation Advisory Committee, ending in 2016.
   At the Human Relations Committee, Teresita Bastides-Heron was reappointed to a three-year term ending in 2015.
   John Gladwell and Rosanne Manghisi were reappointed to two-year terms on the Public Safety Advisory Committee, along with newcomer Michael Burzachiello. The terms end in 2014.
   Township Council reappointed Marie Tagliaferri, Geoffrey Kimmel and Albert Pitman to three-year terms on the Recreation Advisory Committee, ending in 2015.
   Ian Kops was reappointed to the Rent Stabilization Board for a two-year term ending in 2015.
   Cheng How Mao and Kay Palazey were reappointed to the Senior Executive Committee for four-year terms that end in 2016.
   Judy Bubar, Carmine DiSanzo and Doris Weisberg were reappointed to three-year terms on the Shade Tree Advisory Committee, ending in 2015.
   And to the newly formed Trails, Open Space and Stewarship Advisory Committee, Township Council appointed Paul Larson, Joyce Copleman, Anthony Colavita, David Mizenko, Christoph Ahlers and Nancy Becker for three-year terms that end in 2015.
