Wed., Jan. 16
   RVCC info session: Raritan Valley Community College representatives will talk about the spring semester, admissions, transfer opportunities and financial aid in an information session from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Hillsborough library, 379 South Branch Road.    Tricky tray: Manville-Hillsborough BPOE 2119, 1500 Brooks Blvd. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Raffle begins at 7:30. $10 (includes one free sheet of tickets). No one under 18 admitted. Bring five non-perishable food items for the local food pantry and get a free grand prize raffle (limit of 10 items). For tickets call 908-725-1717 or 908-575-9610. Limited tickets will be sold at door.
   Memorial service: Thomas J. Kavanaugh Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2290 and its Ladies Auxiliary will conduct their annual Vietnam War memorial service at 10 a.m. at its post at 600 Washington Ave.
Jan. 22 and 23
   Kindergarten registration: Signups for next fall will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. in the lobby of the Weston Elementary School, 600 Newark Ave., on Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 22 and 23. Contact the school at 908-231-8500, ext. 8548, to receive a kindergarten packet, which will be mailed home for completion prior to registration. The packet will offer specific information concerning the kindergarten program for the 2013-14 school year. All children must be five years old on or before Oct. 1, 2013. No exceptions will be made.
Fri., Feb. 1
   Free dental care: Manville Dental Group participates in national “Give Kids a Smile” event and provides free preventive dental care to children 12 and younger from economically challenged families from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The office is on the corner of Main Street at 7 Washington Ave. Appointments are being scheduled.

   Blood pressure checks: Second Thursday of the month, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., VFW.

   Longer hours at Borough Hall: Offices will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. On the Fridays following these Mondays, Borough Hall will close at 2 p.m.
