Themed January-February Shabbat Services at Har Sinai
HOPEWELL TWP. – In an effort to "enlarge the quality of the spiritual life" of its congregation, Har Sinai Temple is holding a series of themed Friday night Shabbats through February.
"And the congregation can participate," explains Rabbi Stuart Pollack, who will lead the services all but one of which begin at 7:30 p.m. at the temple’s 2421 Pennington Rd. location.
On Jan 25, a Healing Shabbat will be held in the sanctuary; Feb. 1’s service will address "Unlocking the Mystery of Prayer" and on Feb. 8, members who wish to share their most important Jewish experiences will be heard during "Share an important Jewish Experience in Your Life."
On Feb. 15, "Stump the Rabbi" will be a Jewish view of the afterlife, and on Feb. 22 at 7 p.m., a Shabbat service and Purimshpiel themed as "A Beach Boys Purim" with a Megillah reading will conclude the schedule.
