Bring gently used jeans to Allentown library through Feb. 8
UPPER FREEHOLD Students and staff at Stone Bridge Middle School are collecting gently used jeans of all sizes for DoSomething.org and Aeropostale’s Teens for Jeans campaign now through Feb. 8.
All of the jeans collected by the students will be brought to a participating Aeropostle store, which will donate the clothing to a local charity or homeless shelter. The Stone Bridge homeroom that collects the most jeans wins a pizza party.
Residents can help the students succeed in their effort to make Stone Bridge the grand prize winner of the national Teens for Jeans campaign by dropping off gently used jeans at the Allentown library, 16 South Main St., now through Feb. 8.
The winning school receives a $10,000 grant and hoodies with the school log for every student, compliments of Aeropostale and DoSomething.org.
The Teens for Jeans campaign has collected and donated more than 2.5 million pairs of jeans to homeless teenagers nationwide since the initiative was first launched in 2007, according to DoSomething.org.
The national nonprofit organization’s mission is to motivate and empower teenagers to become active in causes and work for social change.
