SOUTH BRUNSWICK: BOE-teachers to negotiate tomorrow

By Charles W. Kim, Managing Editor
A meeting between the Board of Education labor committee and a team from the South Brunswick Education Association are scheduled to meet some time tomorrow to negotiate the teacher’s union contract, according to officials.
According to union President Chris Hines, educators have been working without a contract since July 1.
The contract will last for three years once approved by the board and the union’s membership.
Neither side will comment on the issues blocking an agreement at this point.
More than 200 teachers, clad in black and gold T-shirts, attended the last two board meetings as a sign of solidarity in the negotiations.See our last story on this topic.
