If it snows tomorrow, don’t park your car on township streets.
The township has an ordinance banning street parking during storms, Committeeman Greg Burchette reminded motorists Tuesday night, in order to make it easier for snow plowers to do their job.
In other items from Tuesday night’s meeting:
• Buckeye Pipe Line Company has completed permanent repairs to its gasoline pipeline under Route 206 at New Amwell Road.
Mayor Frank DelCore said Tuesday night that the company is closing and backfilling trenches and has removed contaminated soil.
He said about 40 barrels of gasoline leaked from the pipeline, which carries refined petroleum product per day from Linden to Macungie, Pa.
The township and company still are working to arrange for company representatives to come to a Township Committee meeting to explain the fix and describe ongoing safety measures.

es detected a gasoline odor coming from the municipal street sewer system near the intersection. Buckeye discovered the presence of gasoline in a steel casing that encloses the pipeline.
Buckeye has established a claims hotline at 800-994-0729, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for anyone who believes they have been affected by the disruption caused by the release of gasoline.
• Senior citizen and youth recreation groups can apply for the latest round of grants funded by the township Credit Card Rewards Program.”
This grant application process is open from Feb. 1 through 28. Applications can be found online at www.hillsborough-nj.org or at the municipal clerk/administrator’s office.
The credit card program, allows individuals to sign up for a special Hillsborough Township reward credit card, and a percentage of the amount of usage on the card is returned to the township fund.
In 2012, a total of $7,830 was awarded in 12 grants.
• The Township Committee accepted a $1,000 check from Richard Wallen, human resources manager of Lysol manufacturer Reckitt Benckisser, which has an office at Route 206 and Hillsborough Road. Mr. Wallen said the money was raised by employees at holiday events and from damaged product sales.
• Ryan Wheaton, a seventh-grader at the middle school, was recognized for playing in the Junior Rank Association All-American Football Game on Jan. 4 in California. He played defensive line, special teams and even punted for his team, which won, 21-0.
Ryan, who has a 3.4 grade-point average and played football this fall for the first time, was selected because of his playing ability, academics and community service.
• The Township Committee authorized Public Works Director Buck Sixt to post ads for two fulltime workers.
• If you have a home security alarm, you must register it with the township police, reminded Committeewoman Gloria McCauley.
