After receiving a report of a suspicious man inside Sacred Heart Church at 11:28 a.m. Jan. 16, patrols responded and advised a Hillsborough 22-year-old to stay out of the church.
• Two men soliciting for Palm Co. Energy Supply in the area of Washington and South 4th Avenue were advised of borough ordinances at about 4 p.m. Jan. 16.
• An odor of natural gas from an abandoned residence on Lincoln Avenue at 6:33 p.m. Jan. 16 brought patrols, rescue squad, fire fighters and PSE&G workers.
• While placing a parking summons on a vehicle on West Camplain Road at 2:49 a.m. Jan. 17, the officer said the driver’s wiper blade fell off.
• Sgt. Paul Meixner reported an odor of natural gas in the area in front of Adesa but couldn’t pinpoint its origin at 7:56 a.m. Jan. 17. PSE&G was contacted and said it would respond within the hour.
• Caller reports odor of natural gas from a catch basin on Schmidt Street and South Main Street at 9:22 a.m. Jan. 17. Patrols said odor was not overbearing but detectable. PSE&G notified.
• A woman turned in a black bi-fold wallet belonging to a 19-year-old Alpha, N.J., man at 7:35 p.m. Jan. 17. He was called and picked it up.
• A man selling meat and seafood out of a white truck on Gress Street at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 18 was advised to get a permit.
• A South 13th Avenue woman called at 1:55 a.m. Jan. 19 to report that sometime in the past several hours someone damaged the door lock and part of the door on her apartment. Estimated damage was $200.
• The stop sign at Harrison and Dominic streets was spray painted black, a man reported at 10:47 a.m. Jan. 19 Patrols put a portable sign at the location.
• A North 3rd Avenue man said at 11:22 a.m. Jan. 19 his vehicle was taken sometime overnight. Patrols entered it in national crime computer. Value of the vehicle was $12,000.
• A Boesel Avenue man called to report that a porch light on a vacant house across the street was on, and then off, at 6:18 p.m. Jan. 19. Patrols checked and found the light had a motion sensor.
• At 4:08 p.m. Jan. 20, a caller reported losing her pink Coach wallet with driver’s license, Social Security and credit cards, checkbook and $100 sometime the previous night.
