Staff Report
EAST WINDSOR — On Jan. 16, the East Windsor police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Route 130 North at 4:16 p.m.
The East Windsor Police Department said that three vehicles were involved in the collision and all three drivers were transported to area hospitals after suffering non-life threatening injuries.
Police said Robert Taylor, 19, of Hamilton, was driving a 1988 blue Chevy traveling south on Route 130 and “for an unknown reason” crossed over the grass median and struck a black 2005 Nissan.
The hit was head-on as the Nissan has been traveling north on Route 130, police noted.
This impact caused the Nissan, driven by Fathy Elmostehi, 44, Lawrenceville, to spin. While spinning, police said, it was then struck by a gold 2000 Oldsmobile driven by Carissa Collins, 26, of Hamilton.
Mr. Taylor was issued a motor vehicle summons for careless driving, failure to produce a vehicle registration, and failure to produce a valid insurance card.
Local emergency personnel responded to the scene, including East Windsor firefighters.
The following night, emergency responders worked to help people on Route 571 after a multi-vehicle accident on the East Windsor border with West Windsor on Jan. 17. According to a report on the ground, emergency personnel extricated people trapped in their vehicles.
