To the editor:
One political issue I am very concerned about is the cost of health care.
To me, it does not seem fit that the very people who need health care coverage the most cannot get it simply because they cannot afford it. Therefore I believe that the price of health care should be lowered so that it can be available for everyone to take advantage of. Money value should not take importance over the health of others, especially in a life or death situation.
One example to look at is the Hispanic population in the United States; they’re not only the fastest growing population in America but they also have the highest percentage in unemployment. AIDS is also a big disease that is commonly spread through Hispanics. However, because of the high price of health care, many can’t afford relief or assistance from such diseases. This is a crucial issue that needs to be solved because it is not only affecting Hispanics but many other Americans as well.
I’m glad that President Obama issued his ObamaCare plan that will cut healthcare costs that will provide health insurance that is affordable for everyone. What’s good about health care is that it isn’t a mandate but rather a tax; you have the option if you want to be covered, regardless of your conditions or income. This way it is fair for everyone.
