PRINCETON Two Princeton teenagers have been charged with burglarizing a Mount Lucas Road residence, police said Wednesday.
Kenneth Nwachukwu, 18, and an unidentified 17-year-old boy allegedly entered the victim’s home Sunday through an open door around 11:25 a.m., then fled when they were confronted by the female owner and her daughter, police said.
Authorities found forensic evidence at the scene that allegedly implicated both teens, and they were taken into custody, police said.
Mr. Nwachukwu was lodged in the Mercer County Detention Center in lieu of $25,000 bail, while the other teen was turned over to a parent, police said.
Authorities said the 17-year-old had been staying at the same residence Jan.20 and was suspected by the residents of stealing $1,000.
