BORDENTOWN CITY— Ready to help local animals in need?
Bordentown City Cats (BCC) will hold its third annual Alley Cats Charity Bowling Tournament to support the organization’s ongoing animal rescue and adoption efforts. The event is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 24, at 1 p.m. at Papp’s Bowling Center, 244 Route 130 South, Bordentown.
”This event is quintessential Bordentown. It brings out an eclectic mix of participants, from novice bowlers to our last tournament winner who threw a near-perfect game, but they all have one thing in common — generosity and a great spirit,” said Jennifer Sciortino, BCC’s event coordinator. “It’s a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon for a good cause so we hope everyone will join us again this year.”
The event will feature three games of bowling, pizza, beer, snacks, and prizes donated by many of Bordentown’s generous restaurants and shops, according to a press release. Additionally, anyone who donates cat food the day of the event will also receive a surprise.
Registration is $20 per person and the deadline to register is Feb.16.
Prior events have drawn more than 70 supporters and a dozen sponsors, produced a near-perfect game by the tournament winner and, most of all, raised much-needed dollars to support the rescue group’s ongoing efforts.
Now in its 10th year, BCC is continuing its mission to rescue, foster, spay-neuter, find loving homes and care for Bordentown City’s stray and feral cat population.
