BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP — The tap dancing 1920s musical “No No Nanette” will be presented at the Bordentown Performing Arts Center on Feb. 28 through March 2 at 7:30 p.m.
The production will be performed by the award-winning students of the Bordentown Regional High School theater program — International Thespian Society Troupe 6803, which has won awards for both its productions and individual students at the New Jersey Theatre Night Awards, the Greater Philadelphia Cappies, the New Jersey State Thespian Festival, and the International Thespian Festival.
Welcome to 1920s Atlantic City, complete with tap-dancing flappers and bathing beauties, a press release said of the production. “No No Nanette” is the story of three couples who find themselves together at a beach cottage in the midst of a blackmail scheme, focusing on a young, fun-loving Manhattan heiress who runs off for a weekend with her flapper friends, wanting to experience life before settling down with her long-suffering fiancée.
The winter, the Bordentown production stars seniors Ashley Hansell (Nanette), Matt Luyber (Billy), and Hope Leonard (Pauline); as well as juniors Matt Dalton (Tom) and Brielle Fattori (Flora), sophomores Kaitlyn Anthony (Lucille), James Bullock (Jimmy), Dakota Torres (Winnie), Haley Szenczi (Betty), and freshman Cynthia Reynolds (Sue). The singing and dancing ensemble features Bordentown Regional High School students of all four grade levels.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and students. Dinner and a Show tickets are available for $20 for the Friday night performance only, and include salad, pasta dinner, beverage, and dessert in the cafeteria before the show and seating in the reserved section for the performance.
