MANVILLE: Manville man charged in drugstore break-in, theft

   A Manville man has been charged with in the Jan. 11 break-in and theft at Walgreen’s Drug Store on South Main Street.
   Manville detectives, using store video footage, concluded that Gregory Keenan, 36, of South Street, was responsible for the burglary, said Prosecutor Geoffrey Soriano.
   Officers responding to an alarm at about 12:10 a.m. found a large display window at the rear entrance was smashed with a large rock, police said.
   Officers searching the interior of the store saw a locked cabinet in the pharmacy portion of the store had been broken into and nine bottles of oxycodone had been removed.
   On Jan. 28, Mr. Keenan was arrested at Manville police headquarters without incident. He was charged with burglary and theft of a controlled dangerous substance, both in the third degree, police said.
   Bail was set by Superior Court Judge Robert Reed at $20,000 with the possibility of putting up 10 percent in cash. Mr. Keenan was incarcerated in the Mercer County Jail on unrelated charges.
