Hillsborough police reported five incidents in two weeks in January in which young men were charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana.
Ryan Olsen, 19, of Hillsborough was charged Jan. 20 during a suspicious vehicle investigation on Thompson Close. He was released after booking.
Kyle Cianciola, 18, of Hillsborough was charged during a Gemini Drive traffic stop on Jan. 15. He was released after also being charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while possessing a controlled dangerous substance and careless driving.
Gregory Basile, 23, of Branchburg was charged Jan. 12 during a Route 206 traffic stop. He was released after also being charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while possession of a controlled dangerous substance and driving an unregistered vehicle.
Jason Davis, 27, of Hillsborough was charged Jan. 10 during an Amwell Road traffic stop on Jan. 10. He was released after also being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
Shayne Ditzel, 19, of Hillsborough was charged Jan. 5 following a Merritt Drive traffic stop. He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and was released after booking.
