EAST WINDSOR: Police: Man approached, followed Twin Rivers girl

Police said man walked away after 13-year-old picked up her cell phone

EAST WINDSOR – On Friday, Feb. 1, at approximately 3:10 p.m., it was reported to the East Windsor Township Police Department that a 13-year-old girl had been approached by a man in the parking lot area of Twin Rivers Drive North, according to police. 

The girl reported that the man exited a vehicle and approached to within approximately 15 to 20 feet, police said, adding that the man then attempted to engage her in conversation and asked her to approach his vehicle. 

The girl said she declined, at which time the man  followed behind her for approximately 10 seconds, according to police  

When she picked up her cellular phone, the man walked away from her, police said. 

The man was described as white, in his 20s or 30s, wearing a yellow shirt or jacket.  He may have had black hair and some type of facial hair and glasses.  He was further described as having a thin build and approximately 6 feet tall, according to police. 

The vehicle that the girl reported seeing him exit was a small, black, 4-door vehicle, police said.
