HIGHTSTOWN: Local groups to host event addressing hate crimes in society

Event titled ‘Hate Crimes: Causes, Solutions’

   HIGHTSTOWN — Local groups are coming together to root out hatred.
   ”Hate Crimes: Causes, Solutions” will be the topic of conversation 2 p.m., Sunday, March 1 at Mount Olivet Baptist Church — off Chamberlin Street.
   The event is sponsored by Community Unity-HEWR, St. Anthony’s Social Justice Committee, Interfaith Coalition for Peace and Justice and East Windsor-Hightstown League of Women Voters.
   A segment of the movie, “Divided We Fall,” which documents attacks on Sikhs, after 9/11, will be shown, an event press release said. Dialogue groups will follow the movie.
   Refreshments will be served.
   Admission is free.
