NEVER TOO OLD FOR A HAR SINAI BAR or BAT MITZVAH
Hopewell Twp. – Traditionally, a boy is 13 and a girl is 12 when they become full members of the Jewish community as a Bar or Bat Mitzvah.
It is a milestone reached through study, practice and dedication and it bestows a responsibility on a child for his own actions and morality.
For various reasons, some Jewish children never become B’nai Mitzvah. To help people who may fall into that category, Har Sinai Temple, 2421 Pennington Rd., is forming a Bar/Bat Mitzvah class for adults.
The class will be held under the guidance of Har Sinai’s Rabbi Stuart Pollack. Participants will learn Hebrew; chant from the Torah and lead a service.
Anyone interested in the adult B’nai Mitzvah classes can email Rabbi Pollack at [email protected] or call him at (609) 730-8100.
