Suzanne Gitomer, president, Lambertville Historical Society board
To the editor:
The board of trustees of the Lambertville Historical Society wish to thank so very many in Lambertville and the surrounding area for supporting our recent “Lambertville En Plein Air” fundraiser.
Saturday, Jan. 26, more than 200 people filled the Rago Arts & Auction Center to attend our first-ever silent auction benefiting the Lambertville Historical Society and James Marshall House Museum.
Guests enjoyed food, cocktails and live music, while bidding on 33 paintings produced by 23 New Jersey and Pennsylvania plein air artists. It was a great success!
Thanks to our event sponsors, which included Cross Culture, the Cupcake Factory, d’floret, Giant Supermarket of New Hope, Hamilton’s Grill Room, ICON, Lilly’s on the Canal, PageOne Creative Group, Peach Girl Flowers, Phillips Fine Wines, Rago Arts & Auction Center, River Horse Brewing Company, ShopRite of Flemington and Wonderful World of Wine.
Fabulous music was provided by John Boshinski, Bill Linderman and Adrienne Walsh.
And, of course, we want to thank all the artists who donated part of the proceeds from their artwork — Lauren Andreach, Al Barker, Susan Blubaugh, Robert Bohne, Larry Chestnut, Christyl Cusworth, Kit Dalton, Nathan DiStefano, John Ennis, Ellen Gavin, Joseph Gyurcsak, Gordon Haas, Ty Hodanish, Peter Hunt, Bill Jersey, Lisa Mahan, Paul Matthews, Paul McGinn, Jo-Ann Osnoe, Materese Roche, John Slivjak, J.C. Turner and Eleanor Voorhees.
A special thanks to the following individuals who helped with the planning of the event — Caroline Armstrong, Deborah Galen, Naomi Drew and Holly Havens. From Rago Arts & Auction, we thank Michael Ingham and Miriam Tucker for providing the venue for this event and accommodating our every need.
Finally, thanks to all the volunteers and helpers for our silent auction. We couldn’t have done it without you!
