Monroe Township Public Schools will hold kindergarten registration March 5, 6, 7, 8, 14 and 15. A child must be 5 years old by Oct. 31, 2013, to be enrolled in kindergarten.
Parents should bring their child’s original birth certificate; current immunization record and four proof-of-residency forms including (at least one) deed, tax bill, HUD-1 statement or lease, along with three current utility bills (individuals who reside with another family will need the resident family to provide the documentation and accompany them to the registration); IEP (Individualized Education Program), if child has one; or custody papers, proof of legal guardianship or foster-parent papers, if applicable. Individuals who are in a sales contract to purchase a home in Monroe must bring the signed contract; closing date must be on or before Nov. 1, 2013.
Kindergarten registration for Mill Lake area residents will take place March 5 and 6 at Mill Lake School, 115 Monmouth Road. Individuals whose last names begin with the letters A-G will register 9-11:30 a.m. March 5; last names H-M, 1-2:45 p.m. on the same day. Those whose last names begin with the letters N-R will enroll 9-11:30 a.m. March 6; letters S-Z, 1-2:45 p.m. on the same day. Call 732-251-5336 to obtain the registration packet.
Signups for Barclay Brook area residents will be held March 7 and 8 at Barclay Brook School, 358 Buckelew Ave. Individuals whose last names begin with the letters A-G will register 9:15-11:30 a.m. March 7; last names H-M, 1-2:45 p.m. on the same day. Registration for Oak Tree Elementary School area residents will take place March 14 and 15 at Oak Tree Elementary School, 226 Applegarth Road. Individuals whose last names begin with the letters A-G will register 9:15-11:30 a.m. March 14; last names H-M, 1-2:45 p.m. on the same day.
