C.J. Hendricks, Girls Basketball Coach at Crossroads South Middle School, won his 100th career basketball game, in only his sixth season directing the Vikings squad.
Mr. Hendricks won his memorable 100th game in a victory over Salk Middle School, of Old Bridge, on Feb. 6.
In the same game, Amber Brown reached the 500-point career milestone, becoming the first female player to achieve this total in the history of Crossroads South.
The overall record for the squad, at this point in the season, is 15-1.
”Your team plays with great focus, teamwork, and class,” said Principal Glenn Famous in his congratulatory letter to the coach and the team. “The elements in this team are the hallmarks of our girls sports program at Crossroads South. Your manner is admired and appreciated by the entire Crossroads community.”
Mr. Famous also praised the coach for his “calm manner, high expectations, and good teaching.”
Mr. Famous went on to say that “the entire team is always winning just be acting in the right way.”
”I really am proud on my girls and the efforts that they put forth both on the court and in the classroom” said Coach Hendricks.
