Mr. Garcia, 89, of Marlboro, formerly of Edison, died Feb. 6, 2013, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born in Muros, Spain. Prior to retiring, he was employed as a longshoreman at Port Newark and Port Elizabeth with Local 1235. He was predeceased by four brothers, Ramon, Yldefonso, Manuel and Jose; and two sisters, Zoila and Josefa. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Gloria; two sons and daughters-in-law, Carlos and Diane of Edison, and Bruce and Maureen of Brick Township; a daughter, Diane Hungridge, and her husband, Robert, of Manalapan; a sister and her husband, Filomena and Robert Calvo of Rockaway; a sister in-law, Diamond Garcia of Boca Raton, Fla.; and four grandchildren. Private cremation was arranged by the Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan.
