Thanks to a pair of former Shore area high school standouts, the Shore Athletic Club dominated the High Mountain Coffee 10K Road Race held in Mandeville, Jamaica on Jan. 27.
Andrew Brodeur and Jennifer Nelson were the respective men’s and women’s winners at the annual road race that drew a field of 185.
Brodeur, who starred at Brick Memorial High school and then at Duke University before joining the Shore AC, took the men’s race in 31:38.00.
Nelson, a standout at Barnegat High School who starred at Monmouth University, clocked 41:01.89 in taking the women’s race. She finished 49th overall.
