Sickles Market hosts Artists Weekend

LITTLE SILVER — People will have the chance to chase away the winter blues at Sickles Market’s greenhouse during the Annual Artists Weekend at 1 Harrison Ave., Little Silver, on Saturday, Feb. 16 and Sunday, Feb. 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Each day, approximately a dozen artists will display their art and hold demonstrations. The event is free to the public, and artwork will be on sale, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the artists.

Artists’ work in several media will be presented, including watercolors, oils, pen and ink, textiles and recycled materials. A terrarium table demonstration will also take place in the greenhouse.

Artists in the greenhouse on Saturday Feb. 16, include: Susan Fairgrieve, photography; Katherine Grady, stained glass; Lyndsay Senerchia, knitting; Donna Nicosia, pottery; painters Linne Grant, Mike Quon and Jane Lux; and Dana Flynn, Eileen Ricigliano and Laurie Olefson, jewelry.

On Sunday, Feb. 17, artists and artisans in the greenhouse include Hope and James Grimes, vintage handbags/clothing; Kim Levin, photography; Laurel Lee, jewelry; Bruce Perlmutter, wood turner; Alicia Benoist, pottery; Maryann Small, jewelry; Michael Baker, photography/postcards; Carol Bruno, Demetrius Patterson and Lorna Weber, paintings; Alice Mansfield, knitting; and Nancy Aufiero, mosaic art.
