Fire company hosts
annual fish fry
   Friday, Feb. 22 — Fire Company No. 3 at 324 Woods Road will hold its annual fish fry buffet, 4:30-8 p.m. Buffet includes baked tilapia, fried cod, fried clams, fried shrimp, chicken fingers, pierogies, vegetable medley, french fries, rice, homemade cole slaw, salad, desserts.
   Adults, $12; senior citizens (60 and older), $11; children 5 to 12, $9, and 4 and under, free. Tickets at the door.
Project Graduation
to sell prom dresses
   Sat., Feb. 23 — Prom and evening wear (all sizes) will be sold by Project Graduation from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. in Hillsborough High School Commons Area.
   Sale of the dresses at $10-$50 (cash only) will benefit a post-graduation party.
   Project Graduation’s annual fashion show will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 23, in the school auditorium. Tickets are $14 for adults and $10 senior/students. Featured are senior prom attire and younger children in casual wear. Contact Robin at 908-307-4160.
Dukes will register
for football, cheering
   Sat., Feb. 23 — The Hillsborough Dukes will hold in-person registration in the side multi-purpose room at the Hillsborough Municipal Building, 379 South Branch Road, from 9 a.m. to noon.
   The Dukes are launching their 46th year by offering free registration for all cheer and football programs for families registering before April 15.

Purim carnival
is open to public
   Sun., Feb. 24 — Congregation Kehilat Shalom, 253 Griggstown Road, Belle Mead, will host a Purim carnival from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Music by Showstoppers Plus, games, crafts, prizes, refreshments, hamantaschen, raffle. Non-members welcome.

   Thurs., Feb. 28 — The Hillsborough Democratic Alliance’s Politics Book Club will meet at Lenny’s Pizza and Pasta in the Kingsbridge Shopping Center on South Branch Road from 7-9 p.m. to discuss “Blessed are the Organized: Grassroots Democracy in America” by Jeffrey Stout.    Thur., March 21 — The Neshanic Garden Club will hear a program, “The Chocolate Tree: From Ancient Food to Modern Medicine,” at 11 a.m. at the Station House on Olive Street in Neshanic Station. The botany, history and use of cacao are the focus of Tom J. Gianfagna, professor of plant biology and pathology at Rutgers University.
