On Friday, May 3rd, we will be mingling at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Princeton, NJ to celebrate a wonderful evening of vibrant music, hors d’oeuvres, and lots of surprising prizes. Parents Count is an anonymous, confidential support group and educational organization designed to help parents prevent child abuse and neglect. In 2007, the last year for which we have statistics, there were 2 million reports of child abuse and neglect. ParentsCount focuses on parents as the primary avenue for prevention and believes parents are the source of the creative changes that must take place for this situation to reverse itself.
