PRINCETON AREA: Police blotter

Princeton
   The Cottage Club at 51 Prospect Ave. told police that a naked white man, about 20, entered the club’s dining hall and began dancing at about 6:33 p.m. on Feb. 15. Police said the man fled in an unknown direction after being confronted by an employee.
   Arthur Shockley, 28, of Princeton, was charged with criminal mischief on Feb. 16 at 8:47 a.m. after admitting to kicking and shattering the window of the rear door to the Wells Fargo bank on Nassau Street while intoxicated the previous night, according to police. Police said he returned to the scene that morning to pay for the damage and was waiting for the manager to arrive.

Plainsboro
   CVS Pharmacy on Schalks Crossing Road reported an attempted burglary at 12:27 p.m. Feb. 15 after a suspect allegedly tried to steal $136 worth of Enfamil and Gerber powders. Police said the suspect put the items back on the shelf after being approached by an employee.
   Police responded to a minor fire in room 340 at Homewood Suites on Route 1 at 4 p.m. Feb. 17. Police said the fire was caused by a box left on the stove and was extinguished by the hotel’s internal sprinkler system. Three adjacent rooms suffered damage from the water of the sprinkler system and there were no reported injuries, according to police. Total cost of the damage is still unknown.
   A student at Community Middle School was charged with stealing an iPhone 4 from a fellow student’s locker sometime between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 19. Police said they located the juvenile at a residence, where the juvenile was found to be in possession of the phone.
