Eastern Wind Symphonic Is Present a Gala Event at Carnegie Hall

By Jasmine Bloch Krempels
The Eastern Wind Symphony, under the direction of Todd Nichols and Adam Warshafsky, will be taking the stage at Carnegie Hall on Friday March 15, 2013 at 8pm in an historic concert featuring the very best in wind ensemble literature.  This Symphonic Gala also features performances from concert ensembles from Verona, Montgomery, Bridgewater, and Roxbury High Schools, encompassing over 380 high school students.
The Eastern Wind Symphony, which is based in Princeton, was formed in the spring of 1996 with the intent of creating a professional wind band for local musicians and graduates of The College of New Jersey that would be of extraordinary quality, dedicated to performing the very best wind and percussion literature. The Eastern Wind Symphony is currently comprised of professional musicians and music educators from New Jersey and Pennsylvania who play piccolo, flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium, tube, and percussion.  The ensemble strives to promote the American wind band as a serious artistic medium that is of the highest merit, while providing both our audiences and members alike strong musical, cultural, and social growth opportunities through performances and educational outreach. Tickets for the Symphonic Gala are available through the Carnegie Hall Box Office and website; seating is general admission and all seats are $25.
