BORDENTOWN CITY — Resident Dakota Torres is shining as a local classical singer.
She won second-place during the Voice Teachers National Association competition held Feb. 17 at the Open Arts Stage in Bordentown Township.
Her award was in the classical, junior, category. She sang “Deh vieni, non tardar” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Dakota studies with Rising Stars Voice Studio under the direction of Sophie Taillefer.
She is a sophomore at Bordentown Regional High School.
